Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.

15:40 Ascot – Twilight Calls (Racing Post, Lambourn)

TWILIGHT CALLS ran creditably here as 2yo. Looked good when winning a handicap on return and has shown better form in Group races since, having to sit tight for a gap to appear when only just failing against King’s Lynn at Haydock 24 days ago. Has a daunting task but is likely to raise his game further at some stage.

16:20 Ascot – My Prospero (Daily Record, Garry Owen)

MY PROSPERO is a fast-improving colt who showed smart form in the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown last month, beating Solario winner Reach For The Moon and following up his Newbury reappearance success. Has raced only three times and should have plenty more to offer.

17:00 Ascot – Reshoun (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

RESHOUN won once in each of the last four seasons, last term always very close up and having his nose in front where it mattered when 66-1 in this race. Back to the same mark today and ran with credit on two of three runs this term, including last time considering the inadequate 1m4f. Has stall 19 today, compared to 3 last year, but he has to be considered seriously.

17:35 Ascot – Foxes Tales (Racing Post, RP Ratings)

FOXES TALES was successful in a 3yo C&D handicap at this meeting last year and added a Group 3 at Haydock in August. Good second in Sandown Group 3 on reappearance and seemingly failed to stay 1m4f when a slightly below-form fourth in Newbury Group 3 since. Drawn widest today but he overcame stall 13 of 14 last year, which shows it can be done. Acts on good to firm so is a big player.
