It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets.
13:45 Downpatrick – She Is A Contender (Telegraph)
Roaring Potter has been unable to build on his promising debut behind Grangee last November and, while this looks easier than previous assignments, he mightn’t be able to get by SHE IS A CONTENDER. John McConnell’s mare has hit the crossbar on her last two starts in this sphere and should be right there today if on song after a layoff. So Ladylike and Whisper In Court complete the shortlist.
14:30 Gowran Park – Princess Rajj (Racing Post)
A few of these have a live chance including Petticoat Rule who didn’t get any luck in running last week and the entirely unexposed Ezine on just her third career start. However, the progressive PRINCESS RAJJ looks capable of landing the hat-trick with just a 5lb rise to cope with and she can carry on progressing here.
14:47 Doncaster – Laasudood (Daily Record)
A hot little race featuring some progressive 3yos. Top of the list is the handicap newcomer LAASUDOOD, who was the only one to give the odds-on Godolphin favourite a race in a Nottingham novice three weeks ago. Roxzoff is firmly on the up and and this hat-trick seeker is second choice, although Sip And Smile and Al Baahy can also have cases made for them.
17:00 Salisbury – Glen Esk (Racing TV)
The progressive 5yo GLEN ESK has run well on both outings this season and can make it five wins from his last nine starts. Lady Reset had been in good form in both codes prior to a blip over hurdles at Cartmel last time and she is feared most.
