However, it’s hard to oppose SIMPLY SONDHEIM in his current mood and, despite his double-penalty and quick return, he can make it 4-4 in handicaps since being gelded.

The drop in trip/grade brings Auriferous (second choice) right into the equation while Ravens Ark and Happy are others to consider. However, the vote goes to AGGAGIO who was successful over 2m here last time, taking his course record to 2-2 and his career record to 6-16. Saratoga Gold, fifth behind him last time, may get closer back over this trip.
18:59 – Woodlands Charm (NAP)
Despte a 6lb penalty for her recent Lingfield success, Rosa Mystica is still worthy of consideration especially as she is proven here. True Jem (second choice) is also respected with the form of her latest Haydock third having been franked, but the choice is WOODLANDS CHARM (nap) who overcame plenty of trouble to win narrowly at Ripon last time. A 2lb rise may well prove to be lenient.

There are a few 3yos in here open to further progress now handicapping, the pick of whom may be Mugader (second choice), with the form of his latest run having been franked, and the consistent Charles St. JUST IN TIME is an 8yo on a losing run of 18 but there are reasons to be optimistic, particularly as he has dropped to an attractive mark and the form of his latest York effort is working out well. He also likes it around here (2-3).
