Today’s drop back to 1m might prove the key to DELAHOUSSAYE, who gave a good account when third over 1m2f in first-time blinkers last month. Furthermore, he benefits from Saffie Osborne’s useful 3lb claim here. By Pass also responded positively to headgear on her latest outing and is second choice, ahead of Gilbert.
15:45 Salisbury – Sunrise Valley (The Times)
The interesting one is SUNRISE VALLEY, whose eyecatching fourth in a good handicap at Nottingham gave every indication that there’s more to come from her this season. Aiming High looked good in coming from last to first at Doncaster and she’s the danger, followed by Lyrical Lady.
18:10 Chelmsford – Kodiac Sign (Racing Post)
There should be further progress in KODIAC SIGN for the Desert Crown connections, while seasonal debutants Delorean (second choice) and Western Writer also figure highly in calculations. Dukedom looks more exposed but he’s a big player on the figures and first-time cheekpieces may have a positive effect.
19:35 Wetherby – Saulire Star (The Mail)
Vindobala is running well and this longer trip is worth a go, but she has edged up to a career-high mark and 5lb was claimed off her back last time. Preference is for SAULIRE STAR, whose breakthrough success has looked imminent for a while and perhaps this is her day. Katyusha is third best.
