I like LEGEND OF XANADU. I was impressed with how he went to the line on his last start. He really kept going well at Redcar. I liked the performance so I’ll be with him!
OH THIS IS US was rated 108 when winning at Epsom last season and is down to 92 for Friday afternoon. He looks too well handicapped. He didn’t get going at Chester last time out until he was well straightened up and he was really running in the last 50 yards.

I think HIGH DEFINITION wants further and I’m with him. He comes here after placing second in the Tattersalls Gold Cup, which was a really strong race and Ryan Moore gave him a really strong ride in that. I think he could be fitter than Pyledriver, who I was with last year but that was with the benefit of the run at Newmarket a month before. I don’t know what his preparation has been like this time.
CAP FRANCAIS got a long way back at Chester and had to come wide into the straight. The winner on that day got a great run down the inside but my selection was flying at the line. William Buick takes over from Ben Curtis so it’s Cap Francais for me!

Emily Upjohn was very impressive on her last start, Nashwa did it well at Newbury, Tuesday has been placed in both Guineas, while Concert Hall was the finisher in the Irish Guineas. She had won over 1m2f prior to that and I backed her each-way in the Irish Guineas coming down in trip. I know she finished strongly and everyone was saying she should go for the Oaks but I thought she’d want to finish strongly over 1m2f at Navan which put me against her. With The Moonlight was impressive at Newmarket but the form hasn’t really worked out.
It leaves me with THOUGHTS OF JUNE. She beat Above The Curve at Chester who has since won a Group 1 at Longchamp. The Chester form was turned around from Leopardstown and I actually thought Thoughts Of June improved. She’s a strong stayer and overpriced so I’ll be going with her each-way.
