Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

14:40 Haydock – Melayu Kingdom (The Irish Field, Rory Delargy)

MELAYU KINGDOM looked promising when running out the well-backed winner of a Thirsk maiden on his 2yo debut; ran well in Listed race on his second outing but it has been a struggle with the handicapper this year, albeit last time was more encouraging (taken off his feet over 5f at York before keeping on well in the final furlong); down in grade and still not fully exposed.

14:50 Ripon – Heights Of Abraham (The Scotsman, Glendale)

C&D winner (soft) last May, HEIGHTS OF ABRAHAM arrives on the back of two creditable efforts over longer trips at Hamilton (good to soft/soft) in recent weeks; likely to go well, particularly if the ground eases.

18:50 Sandown – Thunderous (Daily Record, Garry Owen)

All three previous seasons were cut short but THUNDEROUS has long been a smart performer and looked as good as ever this term when second at Chester (1m5f) and York (1m6f); sticking to his task so well against Stradivarius in the Yorkshire Cup was encouraging for this first attempt at 2m; blinkered on three of last four starts and now tries a visor; serious each-way hopes.

20:00 Sandown – Farasi Lane (Daily Mail, Robin Goodfellow)

FARASI LANE won twice last year (including here) and looked better than ever when second of six at Windsor (1m, good) ten days ago; runs off same mark today and could be bang there once more; first-time visor replaces cheekpieces.
