TRUE COURAGE has already won here and appeals as the type to do better as a 4yo, so he’s a confident choice to capitalise on this drop in grade. Baileys Derbyday, better than the result last time, ranks as the main danger, while last-time-out winner Shake A Leg is no forlorn hope.

Micky Hammond’s low-mileage 5-y-o King of Unicorns is feared most on his handicap debut, with Scottish Summit weighted to have a say too after a career best at Newcastle on Tuesday.
15:20 – Woodlands Charm
WOODLANDS CHARM goes off the same mark as when second over C&D 11 days ago and is sure to go well if showing up in the same form. Better Half could have more to come this year and will be a threat if ready to roll on her return. Proclivity is another who could go well.

SHINING BLUE created an excellent impression when going in on his belated debut at Leicester and is taken to follow up at the chief expense of Kiteflyer, who also looked a colt with a bright future when scoring at Chepstow. Newcomers Field of Honour and Time Quest appeal as the pick of the rest and can fight it out for the minor honours.
16:25 – Birkenhead
BIRKENHEAD upped his game to score readily at Catterick 6 days ago and, unpenalised, he boasts obvious claims of following up against some out-of-form types. A revival from the well-treated Lost My Sock could cause the selection some issues.
