SILKS PASS wasn’t seen to best effect on return/handicap debut at Leicester and, open to improvement with that pipe-opener under his belt and over this new trip, Darryll Holland’s charge earns the vote. Banana is interesting judged on her 2-y-o exploits, as is Obtain back down in class after contesting a listed race. However, bigger threats may be posed by handicap-debutant Aphelios and Whistledown, who is relatively exposed but is pretty reliable.

17:40 – Expert Agent

The market should reveal plenty with no form to go on, but EXPERT AGENT makes plenty of appeal on breeding and hails from last year’s winning yard so gets the vote. Saracen Head is also bred to be no back number and is next on the list ahead of Night of Thunder newcomer Captain Wierzba.

18:10 – Love Trophy Power

Hard to see past LOVE TROPHY POWER, who went down narrowly to a subsequent winner at Kempton when last seen. She can open her own account today. Kerkyra Island could be the main danger on debut, ahead of Flamenco Fan, who ran in a deeper maiden across the Channel a fortnight ago.

18:40 – Navello

This doesn’t look as strong as the Chester handicap in which NAVELLO was fourth earlier this month and, now 2 lb lower, he gets the nod. High Velocity presumably didn’t handle the slow ground at Thirsk and, promising prior to that, he will be a big threat if able to get back on track. Still, Navello may have most to fear from Rum Cocktail, who showed plenty of ability as a 2-y-o and brings potential to this handicap debut.

GROUP ONE POWER has his quirks but lurks on a good mark and could be worth chancing on his first visit to Windsor. Oh It’s Saucepot and Lawn Ranger know the track a lot better and are a couple of the main dangers.

19:40 – Hotspur Harry

A few with chances, but HOTSPUR HARRY signalled he is ready to strike again when a strong-travelling third at Yarmouth and gets the vote eased 1 lb here. Pride of Hawridge returns on a handy mark and is feared most with his yard going well. Lucayan and Maysong both command plenty of respect too though in an open handicap.

MERWEB cashed in on his lowly mark switched to turf at Bath a month ago and, possessing handicap scope on old form, is perhaps up to following up. Limelighter is a previous course winner and with stamina his forte is likely to be boxing on, while No Such Luck should be a factor at this level.
