Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

15:05 Nottingham – Shivraj (The Times, Rob Wright)

Limited promise in three starts over 6f/7f last summer but, having been gelded in the autumn, SHIVRAJ took a step forward when beaten a nose on handicap debut at Hamilton (1m, good to soft) three weeks ago; mixed messages from the form, but the dam’s side of his pedigree is all about stamina so no surprise were he to take another step forward over this longer trip.

15:45 Curragh – Tuesday (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)

Irish 1000 Guineas

TUESDAY was narrowly beaten by subsequent Moyglare winner Discoveries in 7f maiden here on only start at two; comfortably landed a Naas maiden over 1m on return before 2l third to Cachet in 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket where she chased the winner over 1f out before losing second close home; Cachet’s close second in the French 1,000 has franked that form.

16:20 Curragh – Lustown Baba (888Sport, Steve Mullington)

Four-time winner, including at Listed level, for Willie McCreery and was runner-up in another two Listed contests last term; LUSTOWN BABA switched stables before this season and best run for new yard when 4l third in 7f Group 3 here earlier this month; the softer the better for her and now tried in cheekpieces.

17:05 York – A Boy Named Ivy (Racing Post, Postdata)

Solid efforts in defeat on his three starts this season (1m, good/good to soft); A BOY NAMED IVY needs something extra if he’s to snap a ten-race losing sequence in this highly competitive race, but this hold-up horse should be suited by the big-field scenario and expected strong pace.
