17:30 – Tardree
Toronto won in fairly good style at Wincanton two starts ago but he’ll need to settle much better than he did last time to have any chance of conceding 7lb to useful chaser TARDREE here. Laura Morgan’s front-runner has fitness to prove after a 227-day layoff but has been found a good opportunity to open his hurdling account.

18:00 – Give Me A Moment
There is no strong temptation to oppose C&D winner GIVE ME A MOMENT (nap), who was too strong for another very progressive horse when completing a hat-trick at Market Rasen last month and is evidently thriving. Fanzio is not one to rely upon too heavily but he runs this track very well and lurks on a dangerous mark. Light N Strike and Fat Sam can also feature.
18:30 – Arthur’s Seat
This can go to the 5yo ARTHUR’S SEAT, who has finished placed in the last three of his four handicaps and is only 1lb higher than for his near miss over an extended 3m2f at Perth last time. The main danger is triple hurdle winner Shantou Express, who drops back in grade after his creditable fifth in a big-field event over 3m at Haydock last time.
19:00 – Dogon
Somekindofstar got back near his best when runner-up behind an improver at Huntingdon 16 days ago, while triple C&D winner Atlantic Storm returned to form with a clear second at Warwick on his return last month. They are strongly respected but preference is for DOGON, who made a good start for his new yard when making all at Fontwell last week and still looks feasibly treated off his revised mark.

19:30 – Lil Codey
The most appealing option in this modest handicap is LIL CODEY, who was placed off 1lb higher in a more competitive race than this two starts ago and will hopefully respond well to the first-time visor today. Crimson King had a very uninspiring record over hurdles in 2020 but has more the enough Flat ability to suggest he can be dangerous at this level. Thirsty Farmer is next on the list.
20:00 – Danny Whizzbang
Ask A Honey Bee gave it a pretty good shot under a positive ride in last month’s Scottish National but slight preference is for DANNY WHIZZBANG, who has rediscovered some form this spring and is unexposed over marathon trips. Last-time-out winner Dhowin is also likely to be in the shake-up.

20:30 – Gerard Mentor
Alan King’s 4yo Greystoke got off the mark with a comfortable win in a novice two weeks ago and is open to more progress on his handicap hurdle debut. He’s strongly respected but preference is for GERARD MENTOR, who travelled smoothly for a long way before scoring at Market Rasen last time and a 6lb rise for that success looks fair. Another interesting contender is Noahthirtytwored, who rallied well for a clear third in his bid for a double at Newton Abbot ten days ago.
