13:00 – Dandy Maestro
If something has truly clicked with Cosa Sara she would have to be respected following last-month’s breakthrough C&D success, though softening ground would pose a question. The in-form Pallas Lord appeared to take a step backwards last time, but the way that form is working out may suggest otherwise so he makes the shortlist, but it’s hard to get away from DANDY MAESTRO who bids to make it 3-3 on turf after bolting up at Newbury last Friday. Mabre is another consider especially if the rain arrives.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:35 – Bon Marnie
The experience gained by both Montelusa and Girl Magic is to their advantage, but they are up against some interesting newcomers. Green Zabeel has an inviting pedigree, but there is a suspicion that she may appreciate further in time so BON MARINE, one of two newcomers for Karl Burke, is preferred. Her pedigree is all about speed and that could make the difference on this occasion.
14:10 – Billian
A few with chances but it may pay to risk BILLIAN, who has slipped to a dangerous mark and his reappearance was fairly encouraging. Stallone ran well on ground too lively last time and he’s second choice, ahead of Profit And Loss.
14:45 – Impressor
The improving 3yo Brazen Idol would have a chance if he can continue his progress back on turf, while Elladora is back off her last winning mark and wouldn’t mind were the ground to ease. Classy Al may not want rain, but is still interesting given the stable’s record in this race. However, he may not be able to confirm last month’s C&D running with IMPRESSOR on 4lb worse terms, especially as the selection wouldn’t have a problem if the ground softened further.

15:20 – Achelois
15:55 – Asmund
This looks trappy. Deputy and Spice Store have both given the impression they will be suited by the return to this trip, while recent Hamilton winner Kats Bob and Unashamed are others to consider. However, the pair who make the most appeal despite moderate strike-rates are Maysong and ASMUND, with slight preference for the latter due to him having fallen 3lb below his last winning mark.

16:25 – Lullaby Bay (NAP)
Firebomb is in good form but LULLABY BAY (nap) looks that bit more progressive and she can complete the hat-trick following her Beverley and Thirsk wins. Guest List is an interesting one for sprint handicaps this year, while Red Warning remains of interest on his taking C&D win last spring. Silky Wilkie would probably prefer a stiffer test and looks the yard’s second string.
16:58 – Smart Connection
A minimum stakes finale. Clansman (second best) may resume previous progress at the trip if there’s enough juice left in the ground, whilst Ayr Poet could go close granted the combination of C&D and Class 6 for the first time if the lack of a recent run can be overcome. All in all, however, this looks a very good opportunity for SMART CONNECTION to prove that his much-improved form at up to 1m2f in cheekpieces since last autumn translates readily to turf.
