Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
14:40 Nottingham – Kalamity Kitty (Racing Post)
The thriving 4yo KALAMITY KITTY (nap) could find further improvement for this step up to 2m and she’s taken to land the four-timer. The admirably consistent Yagood is second choice ahead of Wynford, for whom the step back up in trip is a positive.
15:30 Brighton – Rivas Rob Roy (Sky Sports)
Top of the list is dual course winner RIVAS ROB ROY, who was only just caught over C&D last month and remains well treated on his best form last year. Beau Geste finished just behind the selection three weeks ago and he’s feared most, though his stablemate Chetan was runner-up off a much-reduced mark here last time and is a big player if he can back that up.
16:20 Wolverhampton – Whitcliffe (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
Having done so well since going handicapping, Captain Kane seems likely to run another big race, though Mutara is weighted to finish closer to him than he did here last month so is another to consider. However, WHITCLIFFE gets the vote having finished clear of the rest when runner-up to a progressive sort at Beverley a week ago. He should take plenty of beating if repeating that effort. Handicap debutant Hill Station is worth monitoring in the market.
18:33 Hexham – Clear White Light (Daily Telegraph)
Both Grand Du Nord (second choice) and Konik King evidently possess ability, while it’ll be interesting to see which of the Rebecca Menzies trio is strongest in the market, but it’s difficult to look beyond the penalised CLEAR WHITE LIGHT, who won in good style here in April and is entitled to improve.
