WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

17:33 – Bookmark

A few of these arrive with question marks against them, so this looks a good opportunity for BOOKMARK to build on her promising Pontefract third and open her account for Mark Loughnane. Sea Of Charm is weighted to go well and is rated next best ahead of the consistent Tele Red.

18:05 – Enfranchise

David Simcock’s Lope De Vega filly Aiming High is of obvious interest now she goes into handicaps stepping up in trip and Lady Reset is also greatly respected on the back of her recent Kempton hurdles second, but ENFRANCHISE had little luck in running when forced wide at Chester and is taken to capitalise on a good mark.

18:35 – Definitive Force (NAP)

A case can be made for most of these, but the most persuasive one is for DEFINITIVE FORCE (nap) who has thrived since joining Alice Haynes and looks to have more to offer back at this trip after an emphatic win over 6f here last month. Sip And Smile is feared most on the back of his good Ascot third, while in-form Mistrix and handicap debutants Star Zinc and Macchiavello are all shortlisted too.

19:10 – Double O

The market should reveal plenty in this juvenile novice, but David Loughnane has his string in great order and his Kessaar filly DOUBLE O is taken to make a winning start. Agostino shaped well on his debut when third at Chelmsford and is next on the list, ahead of other newcomers Ibiza Love and Monty Man.

19:40 – Deodar

This looks a golden opportunity for Ralph Beckett’s DEODAR, who won a Newbury maiden on his debut last September and found plenty of progress when runner-up in a Listed event over C&D in his final 2yo run. He sets a very high standard on his return and should have no trouble improving his record to 2-3. It’s a tough choice for the forecast spot, but Kitaab gets the vote ahead of Armo.

20:10 – Roudemental

An interesting race in which the vote goes to ROUDEMENTAL, who has improved with each of his four runs and had quite a bit in hand when making all upped to 1m on his handicap debut at Redcar last month. Fresh Hope looks on a fair opening mark and she’s feared most on her drop back in trip, although another handicap newcomer Muhtashim is also respected in his bid to make it three wins from four starts. The other one on the shortlist is Come On John, who won in good style at Thirsk 19 days ago.

20:40 – Prince of Bel Lir

Giogiobbo has a record of 3-4 over C&D and he’s an interesting contender back at this track, but preference is for PRINCE OF BEL LIR, who got back in the groove with his comfortable front-running win at Yarmouth and still looks feasibly treated off his revised mark. Others to consider are last year’s winner Roundhay Park and the reliable filly Lovely Breeze.
