17:40 – Malrescia
There isn’t much to go on here but MALRESCIA shaped well enough when second on her debut at Newmarket to suggest she can pick up a race like this. Seagrave Fox and Strength ‘n Honour could be the ones to chase her home.

18:10 – Mackenzie Rose
Neither of those to have run to RPRs of 77 in posting career-bests last time look to have been dealt impossible hands, with both Heights Of Aran’s penalty and MACKENZIE ROSE‘s 2lb rise underestimating what they achieved those days. The latter appears to have got off especially lightly and is taken to capitalise, assuming the likely softest ground ever encountered presents no issue. Clear second preferece is for the Dalgleish gelding.
18:45 – Flying Moon
A combined career return of 0-105 has to temper confidence to some extent in each of Saulire Star, Hostelry, Shine On Brendan, Paddy Elliott and Sin E Shekells, for all that they each have something to recommend them. The last-named makes most appeal over a trip well worth revisiting, but he in turn is taken on with well-handicapped dual C&D scorer FLYING MOON, who’s likely to be all the better for last month’s return.

19:20 – Farhan (nap)
Having outrun his mark despite the lack of a recent outing and the inadequate test of Kempton’s sharp 1m3f, November Handicap hero FARHAN (nap) can make the most of a more suitable assignment here, the drop back from 0-105 class merely adding to the appeal. Tribal Art’s second here last time was well advertised by the winner at York on Wednesday, and that narrowly gains him second preference over Get Shirty.
19:55 – Thornaby Pearl
In an open race the vote goes to THORNABY PEARL, who acts well on soft ground and shaped well on his reappearance. There are plenty of others worth considering including Hyperfocus, Pearl Of Qatar and Yukon Mission.

20:25 – Spartakos
Not many of these are regular winners and a chance is taken on SPARTAKOS who won twice over 7f last term and should be just as effective over this stiff 6f. Mansfield and Rain Cap are two others worth considering.
20:55 – Quanah
Liam Bailey holds a strong hand courtesy of Stronsay, who is suited by soft ground and likes it here, and QUANAH, who’s 7lb lower than when going close in this race 12 months ago. Three-time C&D winner Shesadabber is another with claims after a solid comeback here 12 days ago.
