Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

14:05 Newton Abbot – Diligent (Racing Post)

This can go to the likeable DILIGENT, who lost little when beaten by a progressive performer here last month. Some of his rivals find it difficult to win but Thahab Ifraj isn’t one of them and he can provide the biggest danger.

14:15 Worcester – Imperial Lightning (The Sun)

The Plumber, who has the most experience and the best form, is unlikely to be far away but IMPERIAL LIGHTNING makes plenty of appeal on paper and may be able to make a winning debut. Nicky Henderson’s Royal Max, sent off second favourite on his debut at Cheltenham, may well improve significantly and is third choice ahead of Belguardo and the brothers Awesome Foursome and Uncle Arthur.

14:25 York – Bergerac (The Mail)

Preference is for BERGERAC, who was beaten by only a whisker at Newmarket’s Craven meeting and now returns to the scene of his last win. He appears to have a very solid chance. Nomadic Empire, a similar type, is second choice ahead of Wobwobwob who scored on this card 12 months ago. Woven, Asadjumeirah and last year’s winner Mr Lupton are other suggestions for the shortlist.

15:00 York – Minzaal (Daily Record)

Having raced only six times, there could still be plenty more to come from MINZAAL who won the Gimcrack here as a juvenile and ran well in a top contest at Ascot last time out. He’s a very warm sprint prospect for this season. Solid performer Dragon Symbol is feared most on his debut for Roger Varian. Rohaan has a fighting chance granted a revival and Vadream would be interesting granted slow ground.
