15:40 Beverley – Rocket Dancer (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
ROCKET DANCER struggled from June onwards last year but dropped down the weights and he kept on for an eyecatching fourth on his recent reappearance at Pontefract (1m, good to firm), having come from a long way back; capable of building on that and he could be a leading contender today.
16:10 Beverley – Pavlodar (Racing Post, Lambourn)
PAVLODAR was well beaten when having a tilt at valuable French sales race, but placed on all four starts in Britain; latest was handicap at Windsor (1m, good) five weeks ago when close third of 13 and looking as if worth a go at 1m2f.
19:30 Newcastle – Dougies Dream (Sheffield Star, Fortunatus)
DOUGIES DREAM narrowly made a successful handicap debut at Redcar (1m, good to soft) last month, but the drop in trip didn’t look to be in his favour when a staying-on fourth of 15 at Wetherby (7f, good to firm) a week ago; ran creditably in one previous visit here and much respected back up to 1m; stable also runs Force Eleven.
20:15 Lingfield – Eikonix (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)
EIKKONIX won AW novice race on second start and then ran well with his penalty over this longer trip at Salisbury; failed to give his running in a nursery the final time but remains interesting off this sort of mark and he’s now gelded.
