13:50 – Gaassee

I’ve tipped up Just Fine in the past but I’m not sold on his form and whether it holds up. Gaassee‘s form, however, does hold up. He’s won his last three at Chester, Newcastle and Kempton. Trevolli finished second behind him at Kempton last time out and he has gone on to win three in a row and have a couple of second-place finishes on the all weather, so I rate that form. Gaassee is hard to get away from.

14:25 – Wobwobwob

I’m thinking Dakota Gold will bolt up on the stand side and Just Frank will do the same on the far side. That will drag the whole field with them. I wanted to be on one that would keep up on the far side and I’ve landed on Wobwobwob for Joanna Mason and Adrian Keatley. He has plenty of form over 7f and he ran well last time out at Thirsk. The draw is key so I’m on Wobwobwob.

15:00 – Minzaal

I’m with Minzaal. Dragon Symbol is a very good horse but I feel Minzaal’s preparation will be better for this. He only had two runs last October and Owen Burrows will have kept him ticking over nicely. He could be more forward than Dragon Symbol so I’ll side with him.

15:35 – The Algarve

Emily Upjohn won by a neck at Wolverhampton in November and she really impressed at Sandown in April, winning by nine lengthsl. Frankie Dettori sent her to the front early to teach her and she galloped to the line. I can see why Emily Upjohn is the favourite and high in the Epsom Oaks market but I’m going for The Algarve.

She beat Native Queen at Galway in October but neither have ran since.  Hymn Book Too finished third that day and subsequently finished behind Tuesday (third in the English 1,000 Guineas) at Naas in March. She was then behind Above The Curve at Leopardstown before beating Artistic Choice at Tipperary in April. Artistic Choice had chased home Changingoftheguard (who won the Group 3 Chester Vase last week) at Dundalk in early April. The Algarve’s form is strong in my eyes.

16:10 – Mojomaker

I’m with Mojomaker for William Buick and David Loughnane. He could have nabbed Al Barez at the line at Doncaster last month after getting going late on. He was only beaten a nose and going up in trip will really suit him.

Ruby Walsh’s best bets:

13:50 – Gaassee
14:25 – Wobwobwob
15:00 – Minzaal
15:35 – The Algarve
16:10 – Mojomaker
