That form is already working out and he looks the one to side with from a 2 lb higher mark. The progressive Down To The Kid is another to consider, along with Spirit of UAE, who’s open to further progress now handicapping.

GLEN SHIEL was runner-up in the 2020 Sprint Cup here and filled the same position in the Diamond Jubilee and Champions Sprint (had won it 12 months previously) at Ascot last season under this rider. He has outstanding claims on these terms on return for in-form yard. Brad The Brief is the obvious danger.
14:25 – Honest Vic
An ultra-competitive handicap with the tentative going to HONEST VIC, who looks ready to strike again after shaping better than the bare result in the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival. He looked like he may win turning for home on that occasion so looks well treated racing from the same mark. Proschema has plenty in his favour if all is well following a break, while Panic Attack and the progressive Wbee are others to take seriously.
15:00 – Luttrell Lad
LUTTRELL LAD‘s response to pressure last time was a touch underwhelming but his strong-travelling style should lend itself to handicaps and he can be made to look well treated on the form he showed when chasing home stablemate Camprond in a Chepstow Grade 2 last autumn. Last month’s Scottish Champion one-two Anna Bunina and West Cork are likely to figure prominently again, while Sebastopol has been in the form of his life over fences this spring and is also respected off his lower hurdles mark.
15:35 – Aldaary
On these terms ALDAARY has a fantastic chance to return with a win before having his sights raised further. He ran to a level rarely seen in handicaps when destroying a big field at Ascot on Champions’ Day and is surely a Group 1 performer in the making. Safe Voyage has a good record at Haydock, including in this race, and could be the forecast option ahead of Misty Grey.

TWINJETS was a fortunate winner of a point to point and outclassed four rivals when making a winning start under Rules at Hereford a month ago. He created a big impression that day and he may well be up to defying a penalty. Hourvari’s runner-up effort at Fontwell appeals as pretty strong form and he’s an obvious threat, with Letterston Lady likely to know more this time, too.
16:45 – True Blue Moon
Plenty arrive with claims in a wide-open handicap but TRUE BLUE MOON is now operating 8 lb below the mark he defied at Hamilton on his second outing last term and, with a reappearance spin under his belt, it would come as no surprise to see him go well from a handy draw partnered by Jason Hart. Reputation and Safran have reasons to recommend them and can figure, whilst Random Harvest is easily the least exposed and also needs keeping an eye on.

OUT FROM UNDER didn’t need to improve to get off the mark on return at Newmarket last month and with further progress on the cards now stepping up in trip, he looks the one to side with off what may prove a lenient opening mark. Mystery Fox opened his account on his final two-year-old start at Goodwood and with better expected this term, he heads the dangers, ahead of Ed Dunlop’s hat-trick-seeking Muhtashim.
