13:31 – Mersea

The suggestion is MERSEA, who from the identical draw looked unlucky when fifth here 11 days ago. Bara Lacha was another eyecatcher in that same race and is feared most. It will be interesting to see what the market makes of Richard Fahey’s three newcomers.

14:06 – Desert Team

It could pay to trust the potential of DESERT TEAM, who comfortably made all to win her novice and is well drawn to try something similar. May Blossom was perhaps unlucky not to go really close on her reappearance and she’s second choice, ahead of Lullaby Bay and Lucky Lucky Lucky.

14:41 – How Bizarre

It’s been a long time between drinks for HOW BIZARRE but he went close from the front at Musselburgh last week and he’s in the right box to give this a good go. First-time blinkers are the grey area. If handling this ground okay then Mighty Fine could be the danger.

15:16 – Truely Aclaimed (nap)

This should be run at a decent clip and that would suit TRUELY ACLAIMED (nap), who got no run when third here three weeks ago. Leopold Bloom remains unexposed and he’s the second choice, with Scotch Mistress, Conservative and Subjective Value also likely to be on the scene.

15:51 – Plumette

David Loughnane’s PLUMETTE has been running terrifically well on the AW and returning to grass won’t be an issue for her. Al Qaasim rates a solid alternative, though Strangerontheshore dead-headed here last time despite being weak in the market and Tiger Touch will be winning again sooner or later.

16:26 – Yummylicious

The 4yo Tucson Cloud has major claims on her form last spring but, in receipt of 15lb from that rival and with Benoit De La Sayette taking off 7lb, YUMMYLICIOUS may well come out on top. Discretion also enters calculations.

17:01 – Cavendish

Not untypically for a 3yo handicap at this time of year, many of the runners are open to improvement for one reason or another. The tentative suggestion is CAVENDISH, who should build on his Salisbury reappearance effort. Billy McGarry (second choice) and Coligone Kate are interesting upped to 1m2f, while several others also have possibilities.
