Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
14:06 Beverley – Desert Team (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
From a good draw DESERT TEAM dominated throughout over 5f at Wolverhampton nine days ago. Entitled to win that but open to further progress now handicapping and well drawn.
14:10 Kempton – Outlaw Peter (Mirror Online, Melissa Jones)
OUTLAW PETER won a Worcester bumper (good to soft) on stable debut in October and has made the frame in all three hurdle starts. Slightly disappointing when fourth at Taunton (2m3f, good to soft) in January, but reportedly made a respiratory noise there and was given a wind op soon afterwards. Untested on ground firmer than good to soft, but should still be a big factor.
15:16 Beverley – Truly Acclaimed (Racing Post, RP Ratings)
TRULY ACCLAIMED was C&D novice winner on fast ground last summer. Was unlucky not to have won more and again she didn’t get the breaks when third here 19 days ago. Plenty to like.
15:26 Windsor – Tanmawwy (Racing Post, Lambourn)
TANMAWWY bolted up by over 4l on his Haydock debut in September 2020, but not seen again (gelded in the meantime) until sixth of 12 at Leicester last month where an awkward start and pulling hard did him no favours. That should have taken the freshness out of him and respected on handicap debut if coping with the likely quicker ground.
