Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

14:20 Brighton – Otago (The Irish Field, Rory Delargy)

OTAGO scored two Epsom wins over 7f last summer on good or slower; 6f around Lingfield was too sharp for him after a six-month break on his return; should be seen in a better light today.

15:00 Nottingham – Piastrella (East Anglian Daily Times, Dean Kilbryde)

Dual novice winner at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm/soft) from only three 2yo starts and made a pleasing reappearance when fourth of 14 in handicap over same C&D (good) two weeks ago; PIASTRELLA is a major player if able to build on that performance over today’s longer trip.

16:50 Punchestown – Felix Desjy (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

Formerly smart Graded performer over hurdles and fences, FELIX DESJY has shown some signs of old form lately; respectable mid-field finish in County Hurdle, when just behind Farout; well held by Glan on the basis of a recent Fairyhouse clash.

20:30 Ayr – Chookie Dunedin (The Scotsman, Glendale)

CHOOKIE DUNEDIN has a considerably better strike-rate on AW (10-34) than on turf (2-41) but followed last month’s two Tapeta wins with close second at Catterick (7f, good to soft) three weeks ago and has evidently built up a very good rapport with Ryan Sexton; likely to be right in the thick of things.
