15:41 – Straight Answer

Cadamosto made a winning debut at Dundalk 12 months ago before missing four engagements before finishing a close-up fourth to Perfect Power at Royal Ascot. He then finished seventh to Go Bears Go at the Curragh in the Group 2 Railway Stakes last June – but hasn’t been seen since.

Ryan Moore rides but he’s officially rated 1lb below his stablemate King of Bavaria. Ger Lyons’ Straight Answer is the top rated on 111 and he drops back significantly in trip.

He won well on debut at the Curragh and followed up at Fairyhouse – both over 6f. He then went to Newmarket and finished last to Native Trail in the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes.

Making his seasonal debut over Navan’s stiff 5f course makes STRAIGHT ANSWER stand out to me. It could be a tip in itself maybe.

16:46 – Baron Samedi

Tony Mullins’ Princess Zoe has been busy recently has run already in Doha at the end of February. We don’t know what that has taken out of her. Search for A Song is the highest rated in the field but usually needs a run to find her best form. Last year’s winner BARON SAMEDI won this contest first time out last season, so that might just give him the edge. He’s proven before he can win first time up.
