Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

13:00 Doncaster – Frog And Toad (Morning Star, Farringdon)

Having had a wind op this lightly raced 4yo returned to form with a good second of 14 on his recent return at Redcar (7f, soft). FROG AND TOAD ran well on fast ground here last July and is a major player if repeating his latest form.

15:35 Sandown – Goldspur (Daily Post, Mercury)

GOLDSPUR was an impressive debut scorer here (1m, soft) last September then showed very useful 1m2f form the following month, winning Group 3 at Newmarket (good) and third in Group 1 at Saint-Cloud (very soft). Has the best chance on the figures and his trainer is in red-hot form.

15:45 Perth – Minella Trump (Steve Mullington)

MINELLA TRUMP had a tremendous run of form over fences in the second half of last year, notching six wins before suffering defeat at Ludlow in December. Is unbeaten in four starts here, including one over C&D, and is likely to be primed for this return from four months off.

19:10 Southwell – Matchmaking (The Irish Field, Rory Delargy)

MATCHMAKING had four Flat wins (three on fast ground, one AW) at up to 1m4f for Sir Mark Prescott in 2018. Two long absences since, with low-level form on the switch to hurdling this year but he did get more competitive when 12l fourth of 14 on handicap hurdle debut here (2m4f, good; Ange Endormi third) last time, staying on.
