16:15 – Haunted Dream
Under a 6lb penalty for his Beverley success a week ago, HAUNTED DREAM (nap) is taken to follow up. The manner of victory and his pedigree strongly suggest he could be even better over this longer trip. A few of his rivals remain open to improvement after just three starts and, of that group, Geelong may prove the pick having finished third behind an in-form rival at Newcastle 11 days ago.

16:50 – Hackbridge
The return to this trip can only be of benefit to Noble Peace who has dropped below his last winning mark. However, the key to this race may be the C&D contest three weeks ago in which Smart Connection beat Doonbeg Farmer by a short head with HACKBRIDGE just over a length away in fourth. Pat Phelan’s gelding is better off with the first two and would have finished closer had he not run out of room late, so is taken to emerge on top this time.
17:30 – Queen of Burgundy
As the only established front-runner in the field, QUEEN OF BURGUNDY could again get her own way out in front, just as she did when making all over C&D a fortnight ago. Crown Power is weighted to reverse last month’s Wolverhampton form with her, but this even sharper test may not be suitable so Sharla may be the best alternative. She has been off for six months but is back off her last winning mark.

18:00 – Hey Ho Let’s Go
Despite another 4lb rise The Defiant has to be respected in his bid for the four-timer, especially as he had three of today’s rivals behind him when winning over C&D last time. However, HEY HO LET’S GO may have his measure on this occasion as, although 3lb higher than when making all over C&D a fortnight ago, he is still 2lb lower than for his previous success.
18:30 – Shibori
There was significant promise in the debut effort of SHIBORI over C&D in December and she can put that experience to good use. Stubble Field, Distant Light and Days Like This have all shown promise, while Asraabb is a newcomer to note for market confidence.

19:00 – Coolagh Magic
Million Reasons, Rainbow Mirage, Maahi Ve and Gonzaga all have something to recommend them but COOLAGH MAGIC still looks feasibly weighted and he can gain his third course win.
19:30 – Impeach
Winnetka looks well treated under a penalty for last week’s Windsor success and he should make a bold bid to record his first AW success. Soyounique went close over C&D on Saturday, while Lockdown and last year’s winner Swiss Pride also enter calculations. IMPEACH has had excuses on his last two starts and he might be able to resume his progress back down in class under his optimum conditions.
