Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

13:50 Epsom – Mokaatil (The i)

An absorbing sprint to kick off Epsom’s new season. Recon Mission, successful 12 months ago, commands plenty of respect again, as does the 2019 winner Just That Lord, while Dark Shot, runner-up on both of those occasions, is unlikely to be far away. Preference is for MOKAATIL whose finest hour came when he landed the Dash here last summer. With two runs under his belt this year, he now has headgear back on and the booking of Harry Davies is the icing on the cake. The unexposed 4yo Electric Love may prove the chief threat.

15:40 Yarmouth – King Francis (Telegraph)

Last year’s first and second The City’s Phantom and Oh It’s Saucepot cross swords once more and Richard Spencer’s 5yo is again preferred given his excellent record after a break. He’s dangerous, especially if granted an uncontested lead, but the vote goes to KING FRANCIS who was impressive on his stable debut at Kempton and can follow up if handling this different surface.

16:20 Sedgefield – Monbeg Chit Chat (Morning Star)

Global Racing possesses ability and shouldn’t be far away if managing to complete but a safer option is MONBEG CHIT CHAT. The selection was a winner at the Cheltenham Hunter Chase evening last April, and a return visit to the Cotswolds might be next on the agenda assuming all goes well.

17:00 Wolverhampton – Krystal Maze (Racing Post)

The return to Wolverhampton should suit Caribbean Spring, while Street Poet is of interest from the same mark as when winning this last year, but KRYSTAL MAZE made a successful return at Southwell five weeks ago from six months off and with the form boosted she can follow up. Recent Lingfield first and second Bbob Alula and Reformed Character, together with City Wanderer, are others to consider.
