Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

14:40 Cheltenham – Nora The Xplorer (Racing Post, The North)

NORA THE XPLORER has a different profile from most of these as she’s very lightly raced and making her handicap debut; gained easy novice wins at Sedgefield (2m4f) in January and Haydock (3m; wore cheekpieces) in March, both on good ground; this is her sternest assignment to date but it’s unlikely she’s reached her ceiling yet; interesting contender at the foot of the weights.

14:50 Ripon – Skycutter (Yorkshire Post, The Duke)

Fourth in 1m4f November Handicap before ending 2021 with a pair of hurdle wins; SKYCUTTER‘s form has levelled off in that sphere but fitness is no issue ahead of this Flat return and he’s run well over C&D before.

15:00 Newmarket – Hortzadar (Irish Post, Karl Hedley)

HORTZADAR hasn’t won since September 2020 but there have been some big placed efforts over 1m on varied ground in the meantime, including when denied by a nose in 16-runner race at Redcar ten days ago; off the same mark, he’d go very well with a repeat of that form.

18:10 Exeter – Wicked West (Daily Express, The Scout)

Dual winning hurdler at about 2m last summer (good/good to soft); WICKED WEST again took a keen hold on last week’s chase debut over C&D (good) but he fairly hosed up at the expense of his two rivals; hard to beat with a penalty if he’s as good again.
