13:15 – Out From Under

OUT FROM UNDER is from a good family and built on his debut experience to finish first past the post at Ffos Las on his second start. He was arguably unlucky to have that race taken from him, and he produced another gallant effort when narrowly beaten at Redcar on his final start. He sets a good standard on form and, provided the Sir Michael Stoute newcomer Morning Sun isn’t above average, he should take plenty of beating.

13:50 – Kingdom Of Dreams

An interesting novice event for two-year-olds where KINGDON OF DREAMS gets a tentative vote to come out on top. He looks the pick of the newcomers on pedigree, a half-brother to several winners, notably the very smart Bow Creeke, and he represents a yard that know how to ready one. Tajalla also makes appeal for Roger Varian, while Cheeky Maxi is entitled to leave his debut form behind in a race where the market will reveal more.

14:25 – Audience

AUDIENCE was easy enough to back, but made a most promising start to his career when dispatching of 11 rivals in impressive fashion over course and distance towards the end of last season. He looked very professional that day, displaying a smart turn of foot, and he looked a nice type physically, too, very much the sort to progress further this season. Anthem National is the obvious threat on his turf debut, with Eldrickjones slightly more exposed.

15:00 – Carolus Magnus

There a plenty to consider, but CAROLUS MAGNUS took his form to another level when a convincing winner over this course and distance when last seen in September, and is fancied to extend his unbeaten record at this track to three. Hortzadar came close to ending his losing run at Redcar recently so looks an obvious threat off the same mark, while the lightly-raced Ataser is an interesting contender over this trip.

15:35 – Masekela

MASEKELA didn’t look at ease when only fourth in the Royal Lodge here on his final two-year-old start, but the quick ground may have been a bigger factor than the track and his trainer is clearly happy to bring him back here for his reappearance. The form he showed when second to Native Trail over on the July Course sets a good standard and he may prove too strong for Cresta and easy novice winner Sonny Liston

16:10 – Able Kane

ABLE KANE proved very progressive last season, winning three times, including a career-best performance to score from a career-high mark at Leicester on his final start. A further 4 lb rise for that success makes life harder still, but he is a very likeable type who normally gives his running, and looks the percentage call in a very open handicap. Tadreeb, who has been in terrific form on the all-weather of late, and Ibiza Rocks can also feature.

16:45 – Twilight Calls

TWILIGHT CALLS remains low mileage, but was a dual winner last season, and ended the campaign with a solid effort in a competitive handicap at York in the autumn. He travelled notably well on that occasion and, with the likelihood of a strong pace, he may well be seen to good effect here. Aplomb and the hat-trick seeking Night On Earth head up the dangers.
