13:30 – Theatre Glory
This looks an excellent opportunity for the progressive THEATRE GLORY to maintain her winning run. The longer trip should be well within her range and she may have a bit more speed than On My Command, who nonetheless looks a clear second choice.

14:05 – Burrows Diamond
A very tight final of this series. BURROWS DIAMOND might be the answer now she’s back competing against her own sex. Precious Eleanor is strictly held by the selection but she did win nicely last time and could be the main threat, as it remains to be seen how Little River Bay takes to blinkers and Fontaine Collonges would probably prefer deeper ground.
14:40 – Panic Attack
The most intriguing runner in a competitive event is the bottom-weight Nora The Xplorer who moves into handicaps following two easy novice wins. She’s tempting but slight preference is for David Pipe’s PANIC ATTACK whose last run should have blown away the cobwebs and who may benefit from first-time blinkers. Old rivals Kissesforkatie and Bellatrixsa should be on the premises and so should Litterale Ci from an in-form stable.
15:15 – Madera Mist
Christian Williams won this 12 months ago with the remarkably progressive Win My Wings and in Barden Bella he has another upwardly mobile chaser on his hands. She’s much respected but her stamina isn’t guaranteed and the vote instead goes to last year’s runner-up MADERA MIST (nap), who appears to have been trained with this race in mind again. Glorious Lady is third on the list.

15:50 – Grivetana
There was little to separate Addosh, Ile De Jersey and La Renommee at Huntingdon three weeks ago and they look closely matched again on today’s revised terms, with narrow preference for the last-named who was stepping up on her previous British efforts. However, GRIVETANA could be completely unexposed and might be up to making a winning handicap debut despite top weight. The Irish-trained Magic Word would have gone close with a clear round last time and is feared most.
16:25 – The Glancing Queen
Cases can be made for all the quartet but the verdict goes to THE GLANCING QUEEN. Alan King’s mare has impressed over fences this term and she should find this much easier than when finishing mid-field in the Plate at the Festival 4 weeks ago. Gold Cup-winning combination Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore team up with Alice Avril and she shades the vote for second over Darling du Large.
17:00 – Sedge Wren
In a good-quality mares’ bumper the suggestion is SEDGE WREN who made a really pleasing start in a big field at Huntingdon and can build on that. She’s just preferred to Mullenbeg whose C&D win here in January is probably the best form on offer. Dollar Bae and I Am Gonna Be are solid contenders and should go well, while Minniemum and Edwardstone’s sister Nothingtochance are open to improvement. Queens Gamble has an attractive pedigree and may fare best of the newcomers.
