13:00 – Rousing Encore

Brave Emperor, Zakram and Stella Blue may prove the pick of the newcomers but Richard Fahey took this race 12 months with the useful Vintage Clarets and he can repeat the dose with ROUSING ENCORE. The selection showed plenty of ability in spite of his greenness when third to experienced rivals at Leicester 12 days ago and he can show the benefit of that run today.

13:40 – Cabinet Maker

In a handicap featuring plenty of unexposed sorts it could pay to take a chance with CABINET MAKER on his turf debut, particularly as he could get the run of the race in front. Outsmart is another leading contender.

14:15 – Liberated Light

Two of the more obvious candidates in Galileo Glass and Evocative Spark have wide draws to contend with which won’t be optimal. Piastrella has an unbeaten C&D record to defend and she could progress again this year, while Exminster and Truely Aclaimed also have something to recommend them. Sezaam appeals as the type to do well at three but he wasn’t far in front of LIBERATED LIGHT at Redcar in the autumn and Richard Fahey’s runner is 7lb better off today. He can enhance his trainer’s fine record in this event.

14:50 – Saluti

A few of the more interesting candidates in Ey Up It’s Maggie, Show Yourself and Mid Winster could be compromised by an early pace war. Sound Reason, who still has more to come, is another who can lead but if he fluffs the start he might find life tough from his inside stall. Michael Dods is likely to squeeze more out of Havagomecca at some point but SALUTI makes plenty of appeal despite top weight. Paul Midgley’s sprinters have hit the ground running this season and the selection was in the form of his life when last seen. Paul Mulrennan is 3-3 aboard him and the pair can sweep through late under suitable conditions. Don’t discount a big run from Glorious Rio with the blinkers back on either.

15:25 – Jamil

Although not totally reliable, JAMIL is in fine form at present and with just a 4lb penalty for last week’s easy Catterick win, he is taken to win from Lord Torranaga and Can Can Girl.

16:00 – Amazing Mollie

There are plenty with a chance in this novice event, including Kempton AW winners Guilin, Tollard Royal and Stevenson but it could pay to take a chance with the filly AMAZING MOLLIE despite her poor draw. She made a promising debut at Doncaster and should improve markedly for that experience.

16:35 – Queen’s Fair (nap)

Most of these are fully exposed but QUEEN’S FAIR (nap) is a striking exception and David O’Meara’s daughter of Dansili is taken to make a winning handicap debut. Stand Free, potentially well drawn in stall 2, looks the best alternative if proving herself as effective on turf as AW, with Biplane and Elixsoft also worthy of note.

Beverley betting tips:

14:50 – SALUTI
15:25 – JAMIL
16:35 – QUEEN’S FAIR
