16:30 – Douglas DC

The consistent DOUGLAS DC (nap) may be rewarded here. He finished fourth behind Razdan at Dundalk in February but can avenge that defeat, since he is a more experienced hurdler and is in receipt of 8lb. Igraine and Vocito should go well, but also have to concede weight to Jack Kennedy’s mount.

17:00 – Dare to flare

The Slattery team is in fine shape and five-time Flat scorer DARE TO FLARE looks capable of winning a maiden of this standard. If forgiven a poor run here last time Freddie Robdal has a major chance on his previous Navan fourth. Raamez is also a strong contender.

17:30 – Aunt Audrey

Fit from a spin on the Flat at Gowran just 4 days ago, previous course winner AUNTY AUDREY gets the tentative vote to notch a third success over timber. Beechmount Maisie, Close Enough and Where’s Bunny are just a handful of possible alternatives in a race where cases can be made for many.

18:00 – Fox Le Bel

This will not take much winning and appears to give the frustrating FOX LE BEL a good chance with talented claimer Shane Fitzgerald taking off 5lb. Frazel Express won a bumper at this venue in 2016 and enters calculations on her recent Naas fourth. Allora Yeats, second in this race last year, and Loup De Tallane, who put in a respectable display at Naas last time, may also feature.

18:30 – Yabo

Having gone close at Clonmel last time, YABO should be able to make amends here, with her 7lb mares’ allowance tipping the balance in her favour against similarly-rated geldings. The best of the latter should be No Thanks, who was third in this last year. Local mare Indie Belle has a bit to find on her hurdles rating but should go well.

19:00 – Walking the walk

Phillip Rothwell has a strong hand. Obviously, if Singing Banjo transfers even some of his cross-country improvement back to conventional fences, he will take a world of beating but there is still a question about that. Preference is for his stablemate, WALKING THE WALK, who was badly hampered at Wexford last time. Lady McCabe, Four Horsemen and Enduring Love can go well.

19:30 – Good bye Sam

Along Long Story beat GOOD BYE SAM at Thurles last time on a sound surface but with rain forecast before racing, conditions may favour the latter and he can turn the form around with a 7lb pull to help. Er Dancer can improve from last time and get into the frame.
