13:00 – Sword Beach
SWORD BEACH is fairly useful on the Flat and could easily have more to give after just four starts over hurdles. Off bottom weight in this amateur event, he’s selected to make light of a 5 lb rise for winning cosily at Plumpton last time. Merry Berry was on the up when last seen and can give Alan King’s charge most to think about ahead of Birds of Prey, who has come down a fair way in the handicap.
13:30 – Judicial Law
JUDICIAL LAW is going the right way for Jonjo O’Neill and is taken to follow up his win at Ludlow in February when successful on his handicap debut, showing a good attitude to edge ahead late on. Recent Fontwell scorer Neon Moon rates an obvious danger, while Ecco is on a good mark if a change of headgear to blinkers has a galvanising effect.

14:05 – Harlem Soul
A thin novice hurdle even for the time of year with HARLEM SOUL presented with a good opportunity to follow up his victory here last month. That was a very good start for Colin Tizzard and the first three behind him all won next time. The danger could be debutant Dances On The Sand and the betting could be revealing. Fairly useful chaser Carolines Charm completes the shortlist.

14:40 – Keltus
KELTUS showed a good attitude when coming out on top in a three-way photo in a veterans’ chase over this course and distance three weeks ago and is taken to follow up with all his rivals having something to prove. Broken Quest could emerge as the biggest threat if cutting out the jumping errors.
15:15 – Gosuatri
GOSUATRI showed much-improved form fitted with blinkers for the first time when off the mark over obstacles at Hereford last week and is taken to defy a penalty given how much he had in hand in drawing 12 lengths clear that day. Lightly-raced point winner Askinvillar is a potential threat on handicap/chase bow, while the likeable Obey The Rules should come on for his run at Sedgefield.
15:50 – For Langy
This hunter for novices will most likely go the way of FOR LANGY, who already has the best Rules form over fences and probably has more to offer for the Philip Hobbs/David Maxwell combination. Story of Friends looks the main danger back under Rules, while Sixteen Letters could get involved if he takes a step forward from a respectable third at Leicester on his debut for this yard.
16:20 – Hourvari
HOURVARI is the clear form pick for Olly Murphy in this bumper judged on his second at Fontwell in January and he shouldn’t have much trouble going one better unless Paul Nicholls’ mare Dancingontheedge posts a big effort on debut, which isn’t out of the question. Kimberley Eve looks the pick of the others.
