Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

13:30 Thirsk – Strongbowe (Jersey Evening Post, Rory Paddock)

Chance on C&D win last June but that was on good to firm and nearly all of his best form is on sound surfaces; he did win in Ireland after an absence, though (when odds-on for a maiden), and is not weighted out of it.

13:45 Aintree – Party Business (The Times, Rob Wright)

Unexposed; did well to finish fifth in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham (2m4f, good to soft) last month having been badly hampered at the second flight; possibilities off same mark provided this pans out better.

16:52 Bangor-on-Dee – Spirit Of Regulus (Morning Star, Farringdon)

64,000euros 3yo; third foal; dam French Grade 1 hurdle winner, half-sister to smart jumper Le Patriote; Brian Hughes probably had the pick of Donald McCain’s squad for this race; high on the list.

17:15 Aintree – Snow Leopardess (The i, Jon Freeman)

Hit new heights this season (trainer reports he has been able to train her harder) with soft-ground wins at Bangor, Aintree and Exeter; most notably she was a thrilling sight over these fences in the Becher, going on at the sixth and digging deep to hold off a challenger by a nose, the pair 16l clear (she’s 6lb higher today); respectable fourth in last season’s NH Chase at Cheltenham (3m6f) on her sole attempt at a marathon distance, probably staying okay; capable of a bold show.
