However, the pick is class-dropper METHODTOTHEMADNESS, who chased home a useful mare over C&D last month and is still on a good mark.

Irish point winner Harry Du Berlais is very unexposed under rules and will be feared if strong in the betting before today’s chase/handicap debut but DAWN RAIDER has thrived in recent weeks and is still well handicapped on his Irish form. C&D winner Bitasweetsymphony also warrants consideration.

That said, SPIRIT OF REGULUS has a very good pedigree and today’s riding arrangements suggest he’s the pick of Donald McCain’s four runners.
