13:00 – Milan Bridge

Two dual hurdle winners clash here and the one with more potential could be MILAN BRIDGE, who switches back to novice company after scoring on last month’s handicap debut. Hecouldbetheone is unlikely to go down without a fight, though.

13:30 – Legends Ryde

Recent course winner Goa Lil has enjoyed a productive season and should go well again today but the suggestion is LEGENDS RYDE, who didn’t have much to spare when winning over 3m2f here last month but is only 1lb higher today and still looks well handicapped if judged on her autumn form.

14:00 – Systemic

In a competitive race for the grade it’s easy to make a strong case for Gold Souk, who is unpenalised for his recent Uttoxeter win. However, it might pay to oppose him with SYSTEMIC, who has taken some time to get his act together over hurdles but was a very creditable second at Huntingdon last month and ought to be suited by the forecast quicker ground here. Tommy Dillon also makes significant appeal.

14:35 – Papa Poutine (nap)

Plumpton specialist I See You Well is also very effective at this track but he probably doesn’t have much margin for error off his current mark and preference is for POPPA POUTINE (nap), who opened his chasing account at Wincanton last month and is not yet fully exposed over fences.

15:10 – Heron Creek

Age Of Wisdom posted a good effort over C&D last month, while lightly raced 6yo Rubys Reward has significant potential for improvement if suited by today’s big hike up in trip. However, it’s very hard to ignore the claims of HERON CREEK, who won pretty comfortably over 2m3f on his recent handicap debut and is still well treated under a penalty here.

15:45 – Go All The Way

A market move for Gary Moore’s unexposed 7yo Richidish will spice things up a bit but, as things stand, the most appealing option by some way in this uncompetitive race is Richard Newland’s new recruit GO ALL THE WAY, who ended his time in Ireland with a pretty good effort in January.

16:20 – Iskar D’Airy

Gary Moore’s ISKAR D’AIRY didn’t get home after racing too freely on his recent British debut at Kempton but he shaped with considerably more promise than his finishing position (seventh) suggests and ought to be suited by today’s drop back in trip. Newcomer Captain Fantastic represents a stable with a strong bumper record and is feared most.
