KARKIYNA is marginally preferred to Butterfly Island but it has the feel of a race that will go to whatever is sent off favourite. Nothing else counts on form but Pessoa might do better after a nice start.
Hard to look beyond LEVEL PITCH. He looked capable of mixing it at a higher grade than this when winning on his return at Cork and should be able to confirm himself a well-handicapped horse under the penalty. Princess Rajj is most likely to follow him home.
You Owe Me Money was a non-runner as reserve at Leopardstown Wednesday and will be a big player if running here instead. Her conqueror at the Curragh, Massaman, ran a fine race at Leopardstown since and will go well if in the same form. However, SHAMROCK SPRIG looked like an improved filly in a Curragh maiden last time and can break her duck despite going up 5lb. Ginsberg and Drombeg Duke are others to consider.
Some nice prospects taking on solid older rivals. VOICE OF ANGELS may not have a huge amount of experience but showed smart form at two and could be capable of making an immediate impact on handicap debut for last year’s winning trainer Joseph O’Brien. Mise Le Meas is similarly unexposed and rates a major danger, while fellow three-year-old Nectaris can put it up to the more experienced rivals Sh Boom and Emilie Gray. Zaajirah is also very interesting on debut for Paddy Twomey.
This is tricky. CLUELESS HILL is fit from the AW and, while he probably hasn’t much to spare off his rating, is likely to run his race. C&D winner Derry Lad is a progressive sort and could win if ready enough on seasonal debut, whie fellow C&D winner The Lady’s Bid has a shout. Aingeal Dorcha was twice just touched off over 7f here last year but seems best on soft.

It is difficult to oppose the Irish Derby third WORDSWORTH, who holds a rating of 111. He is well-treated by the race conditions and can probably afford to run below his best. Sunchart seems the one most likely to give him a race if at his best.
Having run a sound race on seasonal debut at Navan last week in a stronger contest than this, ABSTRACT (nap) can get off the mark today. Decent hurdler Scalor can appreciate getting back on turf, while Vischio is well-treated if near her best.
A chance is taken on BREFFNI GIRL to repeat the form of her Galway maiden fourth last year, with cheekpieces on for her seasonal debut a sign of intent. Star Of Burma also has a squeak on her best maiden run. If Hattie Amarin resumes in the same form as last summer then she will go close.
