Just the three meetings to start Aintree Grand National week on Monday as the Flat tracks at Windsor and Redcar return from their winter hibernation to back up the jumps action from Kelso.

Redcar gets the day’s action under orders with a 1pm start as the eight-race card marks its first meeting of the Flat turf season where the many strands of the Easterby operation have runners while Windsor gets the ball rolling on its Summer Flat racing season with a 1.40pm that sees the Hannon’s and Channon’s well represented on the card.

Up at Kelso, the winter game takes centre-stage from 1.50pm in the biggest week in the jumps racing calendar with Saturday’s Grand National showpiece the feature race of the three-day Aintree Festival which starts on Thursday.

There’s plenty there for the press room to get working on.
