GOOD NEWS showed an excellent response to pressure when scoring over C&D last time and a 4 lb rise seems potentially lenient, so he’s fancied to go in again. A revival from Manning Estate would make him a danger from a handy mark and it’s too soon to write Wild Wilbur off.

LOUP DE MAULDE has a less exposed profile than the rest of these and is taken to gain compensation for his latest Taunton near-miss now stepping up in trip. The reliable En Coeur may give him most to think about. Balkardy would also enter the reckoning if showing up here rather than Chepstow.

PRESENTING A QUEEN created a good impression when winning at Newbury and should take all the beating for in-form Chris Gordon unless point recruit Desert Fortune turns out to be well above average.
