16:00 – Chiricahua

Three-time Flat winner CHIRICAHUA has the ability to win a maiden of this standard and can score for Paul Nolan who has a good record at this venue. Course bumper winner Eyre Square should not be far away. Run For Pat and The Gradual Slope may also be in the mix.

16:30 – Scarlet Witch

Despite the fact that she was beaten out of sight at Gowran SCARLET WITCH may have the winning of this on more suitable going. Outback Flyer is an obvious danger, and Zoomcocoon and Sainte Dona also make some appeal. Comedaygoday is not a certain runner after Thursday’s third at Naas which would surely give her a favourite’s chance.

17:00 – Daring Rocco

This looks decidedly trappy but not for the first time, DARING ROCCO found the test inadequate when keeping on well for sixth in a 2m handicap at Navan 3 weeks ago and, having shaped as though this sort of test was worth exploring previously, he could be worth chancing to come out on top. Punchestown-scorer Martha Divine, Gali Flight and Silvertown head up the dangers.

17:30 – Kapard

An opening mark of 130 gives KAPARD a fair chance. She is a course winner over hurdles and showed an aptitude for chasing when beating useful yardstick Mt Leinster at Navan in November. Feyan goes back over fences with good prospects on the basis of her Punchestown win in January. Recite A Prayer and Railway Hurricane also merit respect.

18:00 – Ben Dundee

This looks like a good chance for BEN DUNDEE to get his head back in front. He’s run some big races in defeat over fences in the last 12 months and he may take advantage of weaker opposition on his first try in a veterans’ event. Robin Des Foret has become well handicapped and Kavanaghs Corner is capable of having a say again.

18:30 – Four Country Roads

Hard to be too confident about most of these, but it may pay to take a chance on FOUR COUNTRY ROADS making a belated breakthrough under Rules, this better ground giving him every chance of seeing out the trip. Crimson Chief comes into the race with the best bit of recent form, albeit over hurdles, while Call Me Freddie is one of the least exposed and will appreciate the better ground, and top-weight Sunrise Lady should relish the drop in class.

19:00 – Ask And Answer

Seemingly the more competitive division. ASK AND ANSWER has been in good form hurdling of late and shades it over Enduring Love, Mr Bercow and Lessofdenegativity.
