13:55 – Celestial Horizon

This can probably be whittled down to three – CELESTIAL HORIZON, Douglas DC and Evergreen And Red. The pick of those three on this ground is the Joseph O’Brien-trained 4yo who would take a bit of beating if able to reproduce his penultimate effort when chasing home Ha D’or at Navan.

14:30 – Take Tea

This is a good opportunity for course bumper winner TAKE TEA, who has had two of her three hurdle races in events won by a stablemate. She has probably improved enough to reverse previous form with Broomfield Hall, a consistent mare until having an off-day last time. See A Stride should not be far away, and bumper winner Bubbles In May will have ground to suit on her hurdling debut.

15:05 – Goven

This will be the quickest going experienced so far by soft-ground course maiden winner GOVEN. Providing he handles it, he should prove too strong at this trip for Ballykeel, whose maiden win came over 2m4f, and Gatsby Grey who should benefit from this drop in class.

15:40 – I Don’t Get It

Though I DON’T GET IT is a longstanding maiden, he is very consistent and could get his turn today, with blinkers retained. Sundrenched is well-handicapped on his smart bumper form and is respected, while the J.P. McManus’ pair of Newtown Pery and Search For A Myth are worth monitoring. Gargouille looked poised to win at Clonmel last time before falling but the ground is faster today. Rebelle Chaud, Tuckmill and Kingsgate are others with a squeak.

16:15 – Tullypole Annie

This is wide open. A number of handicap debutants are of major interest, with none more so than the 4yo TULLYPOLE ANNIE and she is a token pick. Breagagh, Paddy Rocket, Mr Macphisto, Maricruz and He Ain’t Heavy are also in the same boat. Of the more exposed runners, Fair Minded, Johanna Yeats and Flashthelights are most interesting.

16:50 – Champ Royal

With only four hurdle runs under his girth, CHAMP ROYAL should still have some mileage in his mark and is ground versatile, so is selected. Kashi is a solid performer and won’t be far away, while the same could be said of No Thanks but he lacks a recent run. Gringo D’Ainay was third on heavy last time but is unproven on faster. Elmount is still unexposed and worth a market check. Cool Rain shouldn’t be far away either.

17:20 – Camino Rock (nap)

If CAMINO ROCK (nap) reproduces the form of his Fairyhouse maiden hurdle debut run reverting to a bumper, then he will take plenty of beating. Of the others with form, Queen Jane looks the most interesting. Green Glory, Sweet Magic plus the Elliott pair of Ideal De Ciergues and Sycamore Grey look most interesting of the newcomers.
