17:00 – Comedian Leader

The betting will be enlightening here, especially with David Evans running four. She’s Hot and Ocean Cloud are of interest on paper but Coraje and COMEDIAN LEADER make most appeal. Alice Haynes did very well with her juveniles last season and Comedian Leader is tentatively preferred.

17:30 – Mount Kosciuszko

The well-bred, Gosden-trained Pluperfect has posted prominent finishes in her three handicaps but she’s yet to find what has been needed to post a first win. This could go to the handicap newcomer MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO, who showed promise in October and who could have more to offer this season, having been gelded. The consistent Ummsuquaim is second choice now back up in trip.

18:00 – Above It All

Having been in the mix on his first two attempts at 7f, ABOVE IT ALL earns the vote in first-time blinkers. Nafee has shown ability and is second choice ahead of fellow handicap newcomer Twilight Revenge. Accelerando can be thereabouts if seeing out this extra furlong.

18:30 – Mild Reflection

Solanna is going the right way and won decisively over C&D 18 days ago. He can confirm those placings with the four reopposing rivals but MILD REFLECTION is a viable alternative. Jonathan Portman’s filly caught the eye in fourth here on her handicap debut in August and the step up to 1m could prompt further progress. Circle Time and Vive La Reine are handicap newcomers with potential and the betting can provide clues.

19:00 – Rhythm N Rock

This looks fraught with danger, with the standard-setting Rainbow Fire returning from 551 days off and Mystical Air, who also impressed when last seen, coming back after 483 days on the sidelines. Dear Heart, a stablemate of Rainbow Fire, is a likely improver but RHYTHM N ROCK gets the nod with this first crack at 1m set to suit him well.

19:30 – Fantasy Believer (NAP)

Diderot is still on a fair mark but he fluffed his lines at Newcastle a fortnight ago. To The Bar shaped well at Lingfield last month but none appeals more than FANTASY BELIEVER (nap). All three of his wins have come over C&D and he was a shade unfortunate not to make it four on his stable debut two weeks ago. Compensation awaits.

20:00 – Capricorn Prince

It will be interesting to see how Rushmore fares in the market back up in trip as he’s very well treated now. Largo Bay and Savoy Brown both won last time and command respect, while Kalamity Kitty returns from a break with untapped potential. CAPRICORN PRINCE has been in rude health this year though and he may be able to go in again.

20:30 – Lunar Shadow

The Alan King-trained LUNAR SHADOW reappeared with a close second at Wolverhampton and this lightly raced 4yo is open to further improvement. She’s taken to go one better although the in-form Yorktown could be a big danger. Violet’s Lads returned to form last time and is another to consider.
