13:30 – Into Overdrive

This can go to Mark Walford’s unexposed chaser INTO OVERDRIVE (nap), who was a clearcut winner under a positive ride at Carlisle 18 days ago and is open to further progress in this sphere. Dolly Dancer turned things around with a clear second at Newcastle last time and she’s feared most, ahead of the veteran Wee Small Hours, who has run well in his last three starts.

14:05 – Bronson In Blue

Although he has a double penalty, Irish raider BRONSON IN BLUE comes here in fine form and is taken to beat the two winning chasers, Cash To Ash and Glittering Love, both of whom are best on soft ground.

14:40 – Dan Gun

The unexposed Augharue is worth considering up in trip on his handicap debut but this could go to DAN GUN, who is not as good as he was last season but has dropped to a very good mark and will be suited by this good ground.

15:15 – Blow By Blow

In a race that makes very little appeal for betting purposes it could pay to take a chance with BLOW BY BLOW who hasn’t won since 2018 but has rarely run in this weak a race. Everyday Champagne is another with a chance.

15:50 – Le Tueur

Confidence in him would be higher on slower ground but LE TUEUR returned to form with a good effort in defeat at Plumpton two weeks ago and remains very well handicapped on some of last season’s exploits. Longstanding maiden Hidden Cargo posted a sound effort here 11 days ago and is second choice but Space Safari is very lightly raced for his age and has some potential.

16:20 – Ruby Island

The one that appeals most is RUBY ISLAND, who was an eyecatching third at Newcastle on her recent debut and sets the standard on that form. Bella Union and Chapel Green have also shown clear promise in this sphere and they’re feared most in that order. Top Cloud landed the odds in a point bumper last month and he looks interesting on his switch to rules, while another to keep an eye on is the newcomer Tommy Tunt, who is out of a well-related bumper winner.
