Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

14:45 Ascot – Vera Verto (Daily Post, Mercury)

Peak RPR of 86 on the Flat so useful; VERA VERTO held her own against some respected Irish novices before justifying favouritism with a narrow maiden success at Navan (yielding; finished strongly); this stiff track will suit and, from a yard that’s had a fortnight to remember, she commands major respect.

16:20 Doncaster – Bergerac (Racing Post, The North)

Two 6f wins on fast ground last season and only 1lb higher than for the second; BERGERAC looked a bit rusty on this month’s reappearance at Southwell (5f) but he stayed on to take third and returning to 6f will help; effective on good to soft as a 2yo but drying conditions would help.

16:25 Naas – Patrick Sarsfield (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)

Solid 4-15 record, out of the first three only once before his last three starts last season, in the Irish Champion Stakes, the Prix Dollar and when failing to stay 1m4f on heavy ground here in race won by Jason The Militant; slight concern that PATRICK SARSFIELD has won only once from nine attempts in stakes races; best effort last year when second in 1m2f Wolferton Stakes.

17:15 Carlisle – Coniston Clouds (888Sport, Steve Mullington)

CONISTON CLOUDS is first reported foal; dam unraced sister to 2m5f/3m hurdle winner Silver Eagle; stable has success in these races and the market should guide.
