13:53 – Gredin
Confidence in him would be higher on slower ground but GREDIN, a winner on the outer hurdle track here in the autumn, switches back into novice company after a perfectly respectable handicap run last month and gets the nod. Palm Beach is proven on good ground and arguably has slightly better form than the selection but his career in Ireland seemed to fizzle out last year and this stable debut comes after a six-month layoff.

14:26 – Armattiekan (nap)
Top of the list is ARMATTIEKAN (nap), who was a comfortable C&D winner on good ground in October and beat a next-time-out winner in pretty good style when adding to his tally at Wincanton the following month. He struggled on soft ground here last month but ought to be a completely different proposition on today’s quicker surface. Cenotice, a stablemate of the selection, is feared most but Wheelbahri comes here in excellent form and is likely to give it a good shot from the front.
15:01 – Kitty Hall
This lacks depth and with both Miss Milano (shorter trip and fell last time) and Timetoroe (absence) having something to prove, this might be best left to KITTY HALL. She ran her best race for new connections when third in a similar race here 17 days ago and that gives her something to build on. Money for Bowderek after her absence would be significant too.
15:36 – If Not For Dylan
Cases can be made for several of these but the suggestion is IF NOT FOR DYLAN, who seemed to find 3m2f on soft too taxing here last month but still ran well and is probably still on a workable mark. Ard Chros has won his last three but the ground may have turned against him today and Ashjan, who comes here after two recent Sedgefield wins, is feared more. The other last-time-out winner Croagh Patrick is another to consider.

16:11 – Art Of Diplomacy
Uno Mas and ART OF DIPLOMACY have enjoyed excellent seasons but the first-named is returning from a break this afternoon and therefore preference is for the latter, whose good form continued when runner-up at Ascot last month.
16:43 – Powerful Position
This is harder than of late but POWERFUL POSITION is clearly a progressive 7yo and he’s taken to bring up the four-timer. Just Don’t Know is also improving despite a defeat last time and No Cruise Yet is hard to fault.
17:15 – Imperial B G
The clear form pick is IMPERIAL B G, who finished third at Huntingdon last time. Coniston Clouds rates an interesting newcomer.
