13:25 – Finsceal Go Deo
Finsceal Go Deo has been the talk of the Curragh leading up to this weekend. There’s plenty of appeal in getting behind her. Many expect Jim Bolger to get off to a flyer in the opening race of the Curragh card and I can’t disagree!
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:56 – Thats Mad
Master Matt will be very popular with punters but I’m going to side with Thats Mad for Leanne Breen. He ran quite well last time out after his winter break and he’s a course winner. Kevin Manning is back on board and he’s a good value pick.
14:31 – Toy
Toy for Aidan O’Brien is really interesting. She ran really well on her debut at the Curragh in October after being green initially. She’s going to have to run to a good level to win though. Perfect Thunder is also a threat but I’m siding with Toy. She could be anything.
15:06 – Karakoul
Boundless Ocean for Jim Bolger has had some good runs. He was maybe outclassed in Group company last time out at Leopardstown though so I’m going for Karakoul. The word from the stables is John Murtagh’s runners are very forward at the moment which always bodes well. He’s the standout for me.
15:41 – Insinuendo
Mother Earth is the one to beat but if there’s ever a time to take on an Aidan O’Brien runner it’s in the first week of the season. Therefore, I’ll back Insinuendo. She’s progressive and I’m not sure we’ve seen the best of her yet.

16:16 – Raadobarg & Luke Short
Raadobarg is a standout and the Britannia run at Royal Ascot was impressive. He’s only had seven runs to date and he’s got the tongue tie on. He could be hard to beat. I also like Luke Short for Noel Meade. Some of his flat runs were great last year. He’s a big price and he’ll go well.
