13:15 Doncaster – Persian Force
It’s a guessing game this early in the season with the juveniles. However, Persian Force cost €225,000 as a yearling and comes from an outfit that know what is required to get one ready first time out and he was by far and away the most expensive buy at the sales in this lineup.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:50 Doncaster – Diligent Harry
Diligent Harry was a high-class performer on the all-weather last season and also put up the odd good race on the turf. He was a big, raw, individual who was always going to be better as an older sprinter and can continue his progression throughout the season. If they have taught him to settle better in the early stages over the winter, he’s going to be a force this season.
14:05 Kempton – Felix
Felix has built up a very healthy solid record on the all weather so far and has far too much finishing kick for these provided the gallop is honest. He is off the back of a massive run in the Jebel Hatta over in Dubai and the reproduction of that run will make him far too classy for those who line up against him.
14:25 Doncaster – Mostawaa
Mostawaa is reunited with Silvestre de Sousa (SDS) who gets a very good tune out of him. He’s on a workable mark – like a few of the others in this lineup – but he does have a little bit more flexibility than most as regards tactics. That’s a big help as this contest is not loaded with natural pace. If the opportunity presents itself SDS will kick on and take the race by the scruff of the neck.
14:40 Kempton – Bandinelli
Bandinelli is building a very solid profile and has climbed a good way in the handicap so far, but doesn’t look like he’s at his ceiling just yet. Jack Mitchell could’ve had a few fancied rides at Doncaster, however, he chooses to go to Kempton for a few spins on the all-weather. This undoubtedly is his stand-out opportunity of the afternoon.
15:00 Doncaster – Chindit
Chindit’s going to be very short, but has a whole host of top-class form around him already in the from book with the likes of Poetic Flare and Palace Pier to name just a couple. We probably haven’t seen the best yet from a couple of his three rivals, but it’s his race hardness and ability to quicken under pressure that will give him an experience edge.
15:35 Doncaster – United Front (each way)
If you believe the hype in Newmarket either Modern News or Mujtaba will be bringing this prize back to headquarters. However, United Front has to be flying under the radar considering he is fully 17lb better off with the Balding runner Notre Belle Bete on their recent Wolverhampton form. That rival is single digits and the selection is a whopping price with Paddy who is paying down to 6 places. He can run a massive race at a huge each-way price.
