2.00pm – Super Survivor

Conceding weight to Autonomous Cloud and Pimlico Point won’t be easy, but SUPER SURVIVOR looked good in winning at Doncaster and the second is no mug. Autonomous Cloud is feared most.

2.30pm – Gats and Co

GATS AND CO wasn’t fully extended to draw readily clear here 22 days ago, so a 10 lb higher mark looks within range. Thomas Patrick is potentially well treated now, while Mr Katanga may have more to offer as a chaser.

3.05pm – Scipion

This should turn into a straight shootout between SCIPION and Phantom Getaway. The latter stuck admirably to his task last time, but Scipion has the superior form and off level weights he should be too good.

3.35pm – Tile Tapper

A tight-looking race in which all of the runners have interesting credentials. Last-time-out winners TILE TAPPER, The Edgar Wallace and The Widdow Maker are open to further improvement over fences, while Yes Indeed remains unexposed in Britain and Emir Sacree has the ‘fresh’ angle. The suggestion is recent C&D scorer Tile Tapper, with The Edgar Wallace second choice.

4.10pm – Whitehotchillifili (NAP)

Bellatrixsa could be there for the taking off what’s now an inflated mark and Kissesforkatie must have every chance of reversing their Ludlow placings. However, WHITEHOTCHILLIFILI (nap) can beat them both now returned to the soft ground on which she excelled herself at Ascot in January.

4.45pm – Judex Lefou

This can go to JUDEX LEFOU whose recent form is a good deal more convincing than any of his rivals. Oxwich Bay has yet to recapture form this winter, but he competes at a very realistic level off a reduced mark so it would be no surprise if he was to prove the main danger, ahead of Celma Des Bois.

5.15pm – Knowsley Road

Bresiliant, Hero and Robinsville are newcomers of some note and the betting should be enlightening but KNOWSLEY ROAD could be the answer. He ran well in an Irish point on his debut and still looked a work in progress when narrowly beaten at Exeter on his rules debut. Paul Nicholls has a fine strike-rate with his bumper runners at this venue and the selection remains capable of better.
