13:00 – Warranty
Notre Pari has solid claims but WARRANTY is interesting on his debut for Gary Moore. A 2m winner on the Flat, he showed some early signs of ability over hurdles for his previous yard and goes handicapping off a lowly mark for a yard that has had an excellent winter. Garincha comes into it on his best form but both he and Whistleinthedark need more than on their latest starts.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
13:35 – Dusky Days
The return of the Deeper Blue who ran Challow Hurdle hero Stage Star to 6l last autumn wins this, but he checked out tamely the last twice and may need to give best to any or all of DUSKY DAYS, Uranus Des Bordes and Girandole. They’re preferred in that order on the assumption that the first-named, the best bumper performer in the line-up, doesn’t find the trip too sharp in his new vocation.
14:11 – Galtee Mountain
There’s still perhaps a bit to take on trust with Furkash despite his near-miss last month, considering two underwhelming chase efforts before that and a generally in-and-out profile. Assuming the ground doesn’t dry out too much, GALTEE MOUNTAIN is therefore trusted to complete the C&D hat-trick following what could have been far worse than a 5lb rise. Concrete King can take a hand if jumping better.
14:46 – Broken Halo
Unwise to assume this will be falsely run, considering both Black Gerry and BROKEN HALO can front run and have done so successfully this winter. Although like the selection a 3m Irish point winner, the first-named’s stamina for today’s trip under rules remains assumed rather than proven, and that, plus a standout form effort at Exeter, gains the Nicholls gelding the nod.

15:21 – Aggagio
Mini Yeats should benefit from the longer trip now handicapping and he’s high on the list, while One Last Glance also has another big run in him. AGGAGIO (nap) hasn’t fully clicked over hurdles just yet but he’s fairly useful on the Flat and he’s a fascinating contender now upped in trip for his handicap debut.
15:56 – En Coeur
If the likeable EN COEUR is ever to win a Class 4 handicap, it may well be this one, considering any dryout will inconvenience him less than Le Coeur Net and he’s proven more adept at converting chances over fences than Rose Sea Has. The latter is still feared most, however, sinking to 0-110 company for the first time.
16:31 – Raddon Top
Having completed the last two legs of his Exeter hat-trick in 0-120 company, this lower banded event against largely unreliable opposition represents a gilt-edged opportunity for RADDON TOP to complete the four-timer. The return to a sharper track won’t concern those familiar with his pointing exploits around Wadebridge’s twists and turns (4-6 there). The Tin Miner looks just about the only solid alternative.
