Preference is for DRASH ON RUBY, who has run better in her two handicaps than the bare margins suggest. Start Point, who may improve for this move back up in trip, also enters the equation.

A race of this nature should be well within the capabilities of PETROSSIAN and he gets preference over Apothicaire, who rates a strong contender on the strength of his third at Carlisle. Mister Marbles is also of interest.
15:10 – Revels Hill
Most of these are potentially dangerous if on a going day but REVELS HILL (nap) is the one most likely to still have better days ahead of him, and a test of this nature promises to suit. Achille is feared most in first-time blinkers, ahead of Some Detail.
15:45 – Amelias Dance
Others have lower mileage but AMELIA’S DANCE is a reliable proposition here and especially in her current form. Dibble Decker is progressing nicely and he looks most dangerous. Mister Splash has an improved run in him at some point.

It’s easy to pick holes in a few of the leading fancies, with Majestic Merlin still to win a race and inclined to jump left more than once over fences, Loup De Maulde yet to run on ground slower than good and the veteran Royal Plaza not having the best record fresh. Royal Act, who won this race in 2018 and 2019, is still capable on his day but perhaps the return to this trip in a first-time hood will do the trick with the fizzy ANNIE MAIL.
16:50 – Puzzle Cache
Sindabella has bounced back in cheekpieces round here of late and there was nothing wrong with her latest C&D near-miss off 4lb lower, while first-time headgear also brought about better efforts last time from Earl Of Wisdom, whose yard won this last season, and Getaway Cory. This tends to be Avithos’s time of year and she could do better, but a chance is taken on PUZZLE CACHE, an all-or-nothing mare who’s switched to a new form of headgear under Natalie Parker, who’s 1-1 on her.
