Instit goes well. She won on her only start in France back in December. She’s a fine big filly with a nice future. She won’t be a novice after this year but she’s having a run here. If she wins she might line up at Aintree and go on to Punchestown and probably back to France for the big meetings in May and June. She’s a filly we definitely like.
I tried my best to suggest Deploy The Getaway for the Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle but it’s obviously backfired as he’s declared here. I don’t think he has that much to do to turn the tables with Slip Of The Tongue as he got racing with Paul Townend a bit early at Punchestown and lost by ¾l. There’s a turn of the weights of 4lbs so that’ll be close enough. I think he’ll run a good race.
Franco De Port ran a blinder in the Thyestes when he finished second and was just run out of it by Longhouse Poet. Class Conti was disappointing in ninth that day while Stones And Roses ran poorly in last month’s Grand National Trial at Punchestown. I thought Champagne Platinum would be the one but I’m not going to go against Stormy Judge.

Limerick 16:15 – El Barra
El Barra doesn’t have to improve much to win this. It looks a pretty average race.

Naas 17:15 – Flemencello
Flemencello was a little disappointing on her last start but seems to be in pretty good form at home since.
Limerick 17:25 – Hunters Yarn
Patrick Mullins rides Hunters Yarn in the bumper. He had one run over hurdles when he was fourth and I think he should manage to get through this.
