13.25 – Ney

This can go the way of NEY who ran with credit over C&D last time and with further improvement on the cards, he’s the one to beat. Navigator Jack has shown some promise in three runs so far and Verdant Place and Backintheroom are both interesting newcomers.

14.00 – Caldwell Diamond

This has more depth than the first division. CALDWELL DIAMOND‘s bumper form is working out well and he should progress on just his second career start here. Da Capo Glory will find this much easier than his Grade 2 assignment last time and warrants respect.

14.35 – Gjoumi

If she settles as well as she did on handicap debut at Wexford last week (going okay when fell), then the 119-rated GJOUMI can take this. Sadie’s Pride, Premier Queen and Scarlet Witch can give her most to do. Spring Morning is of some interest too.

15.10 – Mise Raftaire

It was a career best from MISE RAFTAIRE at Punchestown last time when still involved before he was hampered at the last and he may gain compensation here. Dancing Jeremy could still have more to give, despite a 9lb rise for his second win in three starts and Junior Bee may improve for this trip.

15.45 – The Priests Leap

A few with chances but THE PRIESTS LEAP looks on a good mark for handicap debut and he will relish this sort of ground more than most of his rivals. Course winner Rebel Ground is respected and Gevrey arrives in good form.

16.20 – Shadow Rider

Not much strength-in-depth to this and the Willie Mullins-trained pair of Aione and SHADOW RIDER are clear of the rest in terms of ability. However, both have questions to answer after lay-offs and the market should be a help with regard to their readiness for today. The latter is the pick simply because he has been off for a shorter duration.

16.55 – Aloneamongmillions

ALONEAMONGMILLIONS landed the 2020 renewal of this event and he looked as good as ever when scoring between the flags recently, so he’s marginally preferred to Solomn Grundy, who is a reliable operator and still retains plenty of ability at 12. On The Sod is another one to consider.

17.25 – Monbeg Park

The two to concentrate on look to be Arctic Bresil and MONBEG PARK, who contested separate divisions of strong Tattersalls Farm maiden points’ in early November. The latter won his divide in a time five seconds faster than the race in which the former was runner-up, so narrowly gets the nod
